I recently made a website. By recently, a week or two ago. I am enjoying it so much. I like that it just makes me so hyper-focused on one thing, which is to build a website and make it look good and work.
One of the most fascinating things about coding is the amount of work that goes in a simple menu header like this:
The code that makes this possible is this:
To be fair, the menu for the mobile website is included. Ah, if you are interested in visiting my website, please do. It is https://mariroseto.art/. I have recently made a guestbook, which is why I had to add a menu item to all 5 or 10? I'm not sure, web pages that I have in my website. It's such interesting hobby. But I get so hyperfocused I forget to eat or move sometimes. Coding has that effect on me.
Ah, I had help, of course. I made the website interface from a program called Nicepage and a shit ton of googling some code. My website is also hosted (I think that's what it's called) by Neocities and my domain name from Namecheap. Oh, I also added a little icon on the top of the browser next to the title. It's nice. I'm quite proud of my website and wished more people saw it. I also kind of worked around something that's not meant to be for something, but! I made something, my personal alternative to Twitter. One freeing thing about HTML and having your own website is that you can literally make anything with googling and a shitload of spite. I am just trying to wean off social media, and at the same time, I wanted something easy and fast to post my thoughts to *cough twitter cough* but I don't want Twitter. I am avoiding the world. I don't think I want to go back to that fast-paced place. Not yet. So I made an alternative XD Oh, well, the reason why I made my website
I think I made so much progress today with my website, and I was able to take my mind off and focus it on something. It was wonderful. Calming, even. I am happy. I want to learn more about coding. Just like all the hobbies I've come across, I wanna get so, so, so much better at it. I think I'm finish with the updates I want to do with the website that I can take my mind back to drawing, writing, and trying to make merch. So far, I think, the only thing my website needs is the cat shrine. However, I could not recreate the HTML Nicepage has produced. Specifically, I cannot add a new picture to the slideshow. However, I have found some codes and tutorials (thank fucking god) on how to create tabs with different content and I want to put slideshows in each tab. It's going to be a cat shrine. The tutorials I found are this and this.
